The property and its iconic image and branding take their name and inspiration from the adjacent Passeio Fountain, which represented a major step forward for the city of Alcácer do Sal in 1857, when the city's leaders harnessed the power of an ancient spring to provide drinking water to its citizens.

The Fountain is embedded in the outer walls of the Passeio Mansion, but its spouts still deliver this precious resource to the citizens, just as they have for nearly 200 years.

After a significant update and renovation following over thirty years of vacancy, the Mansion is now reopened with a new vision that combines modern business or private offices for rent, an event hall, spaces and gardens for corporate or personal events, and shops, including the Artisanal Gallery with regional products and local crafts, set to open in the summer of 2024.
